...At Rose of Cairo Arabians, we believe in Quality, not Quantity. As a small breeder of Straight Egyptian Arabians, we limit our numbers so that each animal has time devoted to its development and training. We feel strongly about giving each foal the attention that it needs and deserves to develop into a trusting, confident horse. We use the most gentle methods possible to instill the trust of humans while preserving the fire and spirit of these noble desert creatures.  We believe in letting horses be horses and let them live as naturally as possible...

Our Business

Rose of Cairo Arabians is the fulfillment of my lifelong dream. I have known this was what I was born to do since age 10...although I received a BS in Animal Science at LSU, it took twenty more years before the time was right....Finally, in 2004, I was able to buy my foundation mare, Barakis Gem (Al Baraki X Gemma SA) as a yearling. Watching "Raki" blossom into the beauty that she is was a very rewarding experience! Now she is producing champion quality babies with "in your tent" personalities... I have added to my herd from time to time by acquiring other high quality mares. Each breeding is carefully selected after much thoughtful consideration.

....This luscious variety of roses is growing from just one bush in our garden.....and when I look at our beautiful horses grazing out in the  pasture, I can't help but compare them  to these exquisite roses...similar but unique, and each, in its own way, more  lovely than the last....
